After possibly the loudest wind storm since I moved here in Jul 2011, I woke up to find the entire villa covered in a find smattering of "alang-alang" droppings/ dust ... call it what you will. Gonna be a nightmare for the housekeeping team when they go about cleaning the place
Anyway, it was quite nice and peaceful (although bloody hot) when I stepped out of the resort to go back to Sg Pelek for a non-halal breakfast. Yup. I am attempting to try everything. First time was Wan Than Mee (average) and Bah Kut Teh (quite nice). Today is Loh Mee (so not my type) and fried chicken from the Wan Than Mee stall. Fried Chicken is as good as any tai chow. Loh Mee? Well I finish the Loh but not the Mee. Maybe 2 mouthfuls only. Hahaha!
What else is worth sharing?
My next masterpiece. Yup. I did it. I found yet another thing to come up with for this week and it looks good. I did a homage to pointillism except I used my usual over-rendering style and finishing off with a sprig of thyme! Then I did wax to hold it in place and shoot a photo. After that, I used photo reverse negative and to my surprise, it looks even better especially the shadow from the plant became a glowing life-force kinda effect
