Thanks to my supposed invitation to this art gallery function and the fact that yesterday was a trying day wherein nothing in terms of printing works including my bloody printers (!!), I decided to go digital. It started well enough. We arrived at Mid V and the car park had plenty of places ... probably because it is the final weekend before pay day and most people are feeling the pinch ... of that it was school holidays earlier in the month ... whatever it is I had to trawl through so many shops to find bloody digital frames! Harvey Norman? Sold out. Photo shops? We do not carry these. I finally bought 2 at Jusco that had changed name to Aeon. But guess what? When I asked for SD card, the guy wanted to steal by ripping out SD card from a Not For Sale pack that was meant to be a freebie for cameras. How awful is that! Of course, I didn't buy from him
And when I got home? I started programming and to my surprise, 1 unit didn't work. I mean, I bought 2 sets and tested 1 and the other I didn't test just happened to fizzle out
Before heading back to Mid V, I was feeling a bit feverish. So I lie down in my room for like an hour ... then headed to Tropicana BEST and found cheaper units for sale ... at first I wanted to buy but they said no stock ... then in came the guy in charge of that section and got stock! I was getting annoyed but held my temper in check and said to test all 4. So we did and they worked .... then I rushed home ...
Suffice to say I had to go back to Mid V to change my set and they did it without a quibble as if it was the most normal thing in the world. They didn't open the box, they didn't test it. Sort of makes you wonder right?
And then back I went and guess what? The ones from BEST all worked except that one of the boxes was packed missing a cable and it was too late to do anything as it is after 10:00pm. I sooooo wanted to scream ... if not for the fact that I am losing my voice ... ugh! This is going to be a major flu coming on!
