Today is what I called the perfect sort of day to start the first working day of 2013 ... we had drama, we had embarassment, tension, argument and stabbing people in the back ... and a ridiculous waste of money on icky food ... what more can anyone hope for, right? Like watching one of those soap operas ... now if only my bad back can heal up faster without complaining ... then it would have been perfection!
Okay ... so the morning started with me texting Eye Sac for my petrol card as I have been trying to get it for past few days and told him today I will pick it up ... as he didn't reply, I left around 8:15am and he finally messaged me only when I was at the traffic turning to his house ... then he said he left it in the office and that he is now at clinic with his sis-in-law who had fainted!!!
So I made a turned ... and then realized petrol station is the other side ... and turned back along the main road ... passed by the traffic lights and did a u-turn ahead to make it back down the road ... and as my mind was drifting ... guess what?!?!?! I DROVE PAST THE PETROL STATION ... and had to stop again at the traffic lights ... did a u-turn ... and drove back up the road and u-turned back to the petrol station
With all that done, I stopped by for my first sinful meal of wan than mee but skipped the wan than (I know - no big deal)! Then the next big drama as I drove up to the Werepig's house only to find out that he had left about 10 min ago as he had to go in early and the Missus would follow me to the head office for our meeting so that I would not get lost ... which is fine ... the Missus is fine ... just the Werepig is not!
At the office, we had a good session walking around ... chatting and I tried to avoid sitting in front ... but the DenMan announced that VP and Directors and Owner's Rep please proceed to the front ... I signalled him no ... and he was nice enough to drop it ... then the Werepig texted me to go and the Master W came and said if he needed to personally invited me ... argh ... so I sat there sandwiched between people I do not like and people I do not know smiling silly
The speech was as expected ... no clear directions for 2013 ... all about their recent activity in Dec 2012 and the same "blank cheque" story ... ah well ...
I waited and waited until all was done and disappeared with the Knorr Woman to a cafe for a quick bite and a good chat ... once done ... we had to proceed up and listened to "strategy" on a smaller scale ... I pretended to fawn over even the Wills handiwork (so lady boy I tell you!) ... and of course their wonderful idea that I have to handle hotels, Indonesia and China and bring in deals as well ... while all they have to do is sit for me to bring in deals .. and they get 80% while I get 20% ... hmmm!
Then it was down to dinner and they were worried about the "roadside" fare from the Chair ... so I said let me take my shot ... as the Chair came down ... I asked if he went to Hokkaido last month to which he said no ... then I said why not we go for Japanese then and he said okay ... hahaha ... most of the food he ordered were things I would not eat ... ugh ... and finally the most expensive dish is this yellow fin fish head grilled ... all in RM600++ for 4 pax ... imagine a salad, followed by tomato, 1 grilled chicken, 1 egg sushi, 1 tofu skin sushi n this fish ... and for the rest it is not 1 platter per person but 1 piece per person ... sigh!
Okay ... as if that wasn't enough ... when I was driving back I saw a sign pointing to KLIA ... so I thought cool ... and naturally me being me ... I got lost and went down a dark road and I kept on driving until a road says city center ... and I went into KL until I saw a turning that says Seremban ... figuring if I get to Seremban in an hour then it's another 40 minutes to hotel ... hahaha ... I text Caseman ... for support if I really ended up in Seremban ... but lucky thing on the way to Seremban there was a turnout to the airport ... so all in? I took about ... 2 hours instead of 1 hour to get back to hotel ... that's me! I really need a GPS!
