New Shop @ Sg Pelek

Yup when you live in a small community, you must learn to appreciate the simple or little things. Otherwise, you will end up with envy of the bigger cities and never find contentment. I learnt this living in a ship, living in Maldives, living in Seychelles

So here in Gee Pee Tee, our nearest town is Sg Pelek - one main road and that's it

And what is this new shop? A shop I didn't even noticed. We thought to go for dinner and to try a new place I haven't been i.e. the one and only bigger non-halal food court. I have been here twice for breakfast but didn't expect anything much for dinner as it is usually dark with one small shop at the far end

Today, we parked, we walked and bang right in front, a new stall. It's a Bah Kut Teh and surprisingly, quite yummy. So now I know that is one more option to go makan. Hehehehe!

I REALLY NEED TO DIET

Aside from the above, it's the police event on the beach today. I went to have a look with the Neez and was glad I did. Saw Taufeq, a young policeman with glasses in the van and introduced by the Neez. If only I could talk to him more than a handshake! He is tall, thin and nice hair and nice features. I wanna jump into the van with him. Hehehe!

Umm still recovering from flu and having bouts of bad coughs ... with phlegm ... fever came in the afternoon ... but the phelgm colour is not dark green/ brown anymore ... so hope I am getting better!

Aside from this, it's the Gunn's dad n stepmom 20th Anniversary - I went to check out the rooms and it looks quite nice

There goes the diet ...

It was meant to be a quiet day in terms of moving around ... after all, I am recovering or rather trying to recover from bad case of flu ... so I came in to office late ... around 9:30am ... and as I was settling down to work ... guess what? The Dare said we have to go to the city! UGH!

By the time we left? It was past noon. From lunch with Uncle Wong to meeting the retail rep to a mad dash to the Gunn's head office and a dinner ... we didn't reach the resort again until after 10:00pm. ARGH! I NEED TO REST!

As for the diet, it's about both the Dare and I. I didn't eat anything for breakfast except 3-in-1 ... and that was fine ... then lunch I had a hot coffee with 1 low mai kai ... but the Dare went and ordered for himself a full platter of Nasi Lemak and several types of side dishes to share ... I thought that was it ... when we finished meeting, he decided to have dinner. So we went to Empire and we chose Serai. He had starters, steak and a dessert! How about that, eh? Hehehe!

Still Serai scored in terms of taste. Definitely worthwhile to go back

The Cheek of Some People

You know how I have been moaning about the problems I have had with work especially with this wonderful management company Stupid Bullshitting Idiots? Well, guess what? They really think we Asians are either very pathetic or stupid or forgetful. How can you, at head office, be bluntly rude to me every chance you get, savage me via emails and then now that it seems as if the Lord of the Company has opened his mouth personally, you switch and try to patch up and asking me to support you? Less than a fortnight ago, you are accusing me of playing games, with ulterior motives, etc

Now my boss says if you don't buckle up, you better watch it. And you do this to me? Geez!

Of course it is a good thing in this matter my heart is in the right place. Even though you trash me, I am still working to get things going in the right direction and have never paid much heed to you. Otherwise ... now I would take the opportunity to totally savage you, man! UGH! SOME PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Add that to the fact that I have yet to recover inspite of the tons of meds I have been taking and I know it is time to go visit the doctor. Eye Sag was kind enough to go with me to Klinik Sink-Gum. Hehehe! Doctor is fine and he gave me like 6 types of meds. I sure hope my gout will not react. Sigh!

New Passport!

What a trying day today has been. I just wanna smack people, you know what I mean? As is typical of me, when I have down time for more than 24 hours, I fell ill and last night was horrendous until I ended up sleeping outside around 3:00am onwards ... so naturally I didn't get enough sleep and awoke with a worse feeling than ever ...

Then Ads messaged that he had some drama at work ... that I expected it being Monday and all ... still the Immigration Dept was surprisingly smooth ... what pisses me off was the art gallery ... I got hot and bothered and arranged everything ... I called them up for instructions ... I arrived and carted everything up only to find that it is closed ... when I called back to enquire time of opening ... the guy was kinda hazy and said maybe noon?!?!?! Heck!

[Me and Adz stopped for tea at his usual fave mamak shop - I took this shop of a hottie in uniform as he was getting up after finishing his meal - side profile of his bod was so hot!]

At this point, I may write to them and all but I am not sure if I am going to make it or not. Sigh!

Thank goodness when we went back, the passport is done. So I didn't get to go to the doctors but at least the most important thing is accomplished, right? Hehehehe

[I went down to KLCC to catch up with Ram's Money as he was in the city to do his visa to China. So we had a nice lunch at this Jap place before Coffee Bean and back to Gee Pee Tee]

So what is next? The flu got worse. Right now, I am almost without voice. Sure hope tomorrow it gets better. I am going to have a nice sandwich, lots of vitamins, lots of water and the medicals I got from the pharmacist and then go to bed early

Pray for me ya? Thanks!

Annoying Incompetent Sales Assistants!

Thanks to my supposed invitation to this art gallery function and the fact that yesterday was a trying day wherein nothing in terms of printing works including my bloody printers (!!), I decided to go digital. It started well enough. We arrived at Mid V and the car park had plenty of places ... probably because it is the final weekend before pay day and most people are feeling the pinch ... of that it was school holidays earlier in the month ... whatever it is I had to trawl through so many shops to find bloody digital frames! Harvey Norman? Sold out. Photo shops? We do not carry these. I finally bought 2 at Jusco that had changed name to Aeon. But guess what? When I asked for SD card, the guy wanted to steal by ripping out SD card from a Not For Sale pack that was meant to be a freebie for cameras. How awful is that! Of course, I didn't buy from him

And when I got home? I started programming and to my surprise, 1 unit didn't work. I mean, I bought 2 sets and tested 1 and the other I didn't test just happened to fizzle out

Before heading back to Mid V, I was feeling a bit feverish. So I lie down in my room for like an hour ... then headed to Tropicana BEST and found cheaper units for sale ... at first I wanted to buy but they said no stock ... then in came the guy in charge of that section and got stock! I was getting annoyed but held my temper in check and said to test all 4. So we did and they worked .... then I rushed home ...

Suffice to say I had to go back to Mid V to change my set and they did it without a quibble as if it was the most normal thing in the world. They didn't open the box, they didn't test it. Sort of makes you wonder right?

And then back I went and guess what? The ones from BEST all worked except that one of the boxes was packed missing a cable and it was too late to do anything as it is after 10:00pm. I sooooo wanted to scream ... if not for the fact that I am losing my voice ... ugh! This is going to be a major flu coming on!

Japanese food overload

What a great eye opening Saturday this day has been. I know I haven't been home to Ken Damansara in weeks but it is meant to be a quiet place with not much changes, know what I mean? Then to my utter surprise, there are so many new shops for food. A Coffee Bean is coming up. Chatime has opened. Mytoast has opened. Rakuzen Jap food has opened. And all these are just groud floor. On top, there are some additional ice creamery and pasta shops too! Cool, right? Now if only we can get a bit more hobby shops or clothing and it will be complete

I had lunch with my sis at Rakuzan ... kinda nice though not sure what all the fuss is about ...

Then for dinner it was with sis n N-Gee ... and it was my fave Room 18 and for once, the roasted pork is crispy ... other than that, nothing else happened ... we spent the morning trawling for a place to print my artwork but as expected, the 2 shops came up kinda poorly ... I suggested using digital screens instead n the curator seemed keen ... so let's see ...

Throat is still nasty ... had an Asahi ... hope it will cool things off ...

What a Fowl Turnaround!

Friday came ... and I was half focused on work ... mainly due to continue annoyance at my laptop ... since a number of software is still not loaded ... and I have to re-sort out my load on emails ... third time now since joining this company ...

Then email of emails? I got one from the Fowl and it was indeed a surprise. I was hesitant about opening his ... similar to he and his team's hesitance about opening mine as it has been a long painful email "war" over the past 3 months ... and this time ... I used the word surprise not shock or utter disgust!

What was this surprise! Apparently Gillman has notified him of the outcome of the monthly meeting and now he is seriously concerned that my chairman, the Gunman is equally seriously pissed off with them. So he is actually being nice by saying that as we can all see things are now happening since we work together (excuuuuuuze me!) ... and that if we are unhappy about anything we should openly share and work together ... yeah, right! Every week or so, they trash me saying I interfere, I am bad for the company, I am up to games, etc etc etc and twice they openly tried to get rid of me ... and now? They are claiming credit for my success and on top of that, now saying they want my cooperation/ assistance in ensuring continued success? How insincere is that? Less than even a week or fortnight ago, they were still kicking me and now this? Just because finally my chairman opened his mouth and openly supported me?

Essssshhhh some people!

I am so happy that I am rushing to go to KL this evening!

Kick Ass ... the AGM not the Movie ...

It is time for our monthly AGM and I am somewhat tensed ... because this time I didn't have so much to show off ... yup that's right ... it is a show off session as far as I am concerned ... and I am worried ... and to make matters worse ... there is a last minute change in venue from resort to head office ... which meant I have to stay for the duration and not snuck off elsewhere ...

We started off with Eye We See ... and the sales presentation got torn into by the Hay Dee man ... usually he is gentle but today he was in fine form ... and he questioned until they couldn't go into it anymore ... and that startled me ... then Chairman got into a lecture that what he wanted was people who come with answers to problems or good news ... the market is not interested in your problems ... like what he told me in April ...

We broke for lunch ... to my surprise ... they all herded me to seat in front of the Chairman and next to Hay Dee ... and Hay Dee was pleasant to me ... I am worried ...

After lunch it was the financials for Head Office offered up by the Danster ... first time ... and he proudly announced that his no 2 is not around cos of exam leave ... but he is unsure what exams!!! And then he said something along the lines of being a stronger team with 2 additional recruitment!!! For next to nil in terms of ops, they needed so many? And then Hay Dee who is officially his boss ... tore into his numbers leaving him grasping for air ... I kid you not!

Then they cleared the room except for Seniors ... and Dare presented his China deal ... and it was generally optimistic as we are finalizing the $$$ methodology only ... then came my presentation ... and it was generally accepted as well ... and then came branding ... and at the end of it all, I didn't have to hard sell anyone! They bought it. And Chairman even said this is how a meeting should be and said I deserved a round of applause. That was a surprise that left me speechless!

After that, to my utter disgust, came the Gee Pee Tee team and inspite of reviewing and telling them what not to do ... there they go and did it again ... and worse of all, didn't see the mistake staring them in front of their faces ... so the Hardeee tore into them as well ... and Chairman ended the session by telling them that he is concern they are going in opposite directions with our hotel!

One point of worthwhile note ... Dare invited us all not to go to airport but to go to Bangsar to celebrate! And Master W footed the bill. How am I going to be on a diet I ask you? Had a lot of nice alcoholic drinks, nice food and my fave dates (kurma)!

Thank you LORD for your guidance on this day!

Day 4 ... Bye Bye Bangkok ... See You Again ... Hopefully ...

Final morning with pork bacon breakfasts ... hahaha ... the Gunn has left and so it was up to the few of us to chat and hang around ... once meal is done, it was back to shopping and shopping with gusto ... but you know me by now, I am all talk and very little buying except for some souvenirs for staff and friends and a book to read ... more on this later ...

I went to the next mall after Siam Paragon ... and I had some porky stuff but it wasn't nice ... then tried a small serving of lasagne ... even nastier ...

As I decided to save some cab fare, I hopped into the same cab as the Dare-Man ... but to my utter horror and shock at the airport, I cannot buy a new ticket as it is too expensive and I will still be on standby even if I want to buy until last 30 min ... and I cannot check in earlier even though I am on MAS not Air Asia ... so I was literally stuck outside walking round n round until I finally ended up sitting at one end sipping juice and reading the JRJR book about his art

And then after nearly 2 hours gone inside and walked about and did my shopping

With the slight delay in flight, I didn't reach Malaysia until after past 10:00pm. 8 hours or so of travelling time. AGH!

Day 3 ... Bkk ... Property tours ...

Morning was beautiful ... heck regardless of the weather ... this was going to be great simply because I am still pumped up from last night's session with the Gunn Master. Imagine: finally having a successful businessman/ chairman/ director listening to me crap and babble along ... and both of us just tossing around ideas for the future ... be it in Malaysia or China or Indonesia ... now that is long hours but happy long hours not stress of staring at numbers and trying to out-think some people i.e. politicking ... ugh I hate office politics, don't you?

Anyway, let's get back to another morning of porky breakfasts ... then it was to the lobby and piling into the van for our trip around Bangkok where good old Mr Putih joined us and we covered the other 2 Avanis (bleurgh generally but here and there were sparks of brilliance) before we culminate with their best properties: St Regis and Four Seasons. Of course, Putih was saying that the $$$ is not so great from them unlike they doing it themselves but hey! Don't trash the product. Look at how great theirs is and that's why it costs more to maintain ... the properties challenge is probably due to Thai's uncertain economy thus there is still money to be made but not for the uppercrust travelling ... hence that market is shrinking while the middle income potential for 5-star is huge ... don't get me wrong, I enjoyed my Riverside but the lobby of Four Seasons ... wow! The lobby of the Ritz? Wow!

And we had a nice stroll through the rooms/ villa/ units and restaurants and everything is so tempting. Best part of all? The Gunn even stopped at FS retail shop for handicrafts (as in super-ex) and checked out catalogue comparing prices of items and saying what he is interested and what he has at home already! Hehehehehehehe!

After all that? It was time for a meal. The Gunn is far more simple and he said he will just go along with us. It's just that everyone who surrounds him makes it look like they wanna impress him and they all have their own agendas. Like you can see how obvious they wanna eat at the Ritz just because at the other hotels, this was recommended. So we went to Zuma ... it was nice, and apparently lunch prices are like huge discounts off their normal prices and the portions are big. So all in lunch was a success

We released the van that was on hold for us. And took train and ferry and the Gunn enjoyed it too. See? They should all learn to treat him a little bit more normally. It is nice to have luxury but when time permits, it is equally nice to sample the other side of life. After all, he is no prima donna European fashionista/ mogul type

Everyone then did massage treatments and at night, it was free n easy. The Gunn and Red Man took the ferry for rides, then had a meal at the hotel while the rest of us did the Food Court followed by mad dash for shopping

Was today a good day? Heck yeah!

Bangkok Day 2 ... Arrival of the Gunn ...

This is it. The Gunn's arrival. We all agreed to meet for breakfast and to go over the works. Guess what? The Dare came over in T-Shirt, Shorts, Sandals and immediately whined to me that he ran into the Wong and W rubbed him about being on holiday instead of work. I do not know how to answer him. Seriously. I mean, we are to meet for a meeting and why is he in T?

Anyway, after breakfast, we went over to Mai Nor and chatted around until the Gunn's arrival. They took us to their various offices, we had a nice discussion ... and then it was back to the hotel for a break. All of us booked massages etc but I must admit it isn't that good

After that, Mesell met us and took us onboard their lovely cruise boat for dinner. Every single dish was excellent! Sigh!

Once that was done, we said goodnight and as we were walking back to our rooms, the Gunn asked for a drink. I couldn't say no but everyone just up and disappeared. I am not sure if he is signalling to them or not. But it was good to have him one on one to understand him better, his vision and all that. So I managed to throw in a few hints of my own. Even showed him my artwork! Hehehe!

Bangkok One More Time ... Day 1 ...

I was so excited this morning about the trip that just like all the other times, I have problems sleeping well. Not that I have been sleeping well for the past few weeks already. Heh! Anyway, the ride from Gee Pee Tee to KLIA was uneventful. However, I had a bit of a shock at the airport. The queue for checking in was so long that in the end they made announcements for my flight and I got to cut queue

On the Bangkok end, I got up and wow was the Immigration a mess. The way they arranged for people to queue to get through is bad. Anyway, once out, I walked around looking for the airport rep. He wasn't where the gate was. It was a good thing I was early since I was hopping on The Wong and the Ang's transport. So I bought a new book, a drink and hung around their arrival gate wishing that the dude in uniform was a little nearer instead of half an airport gate away. Sigh! So tall and fine

Anyway, focus, right? This is not a social trip. Wong and Ang arrived in good spirits which was a relieve. That meant they had a good time at Samui and made my job that much easier. I was pleasantly surprised when we reached Anantara R. The team came out to greet us all. And the welcoming flower garland was indeed a nice touch! Fragrant too

Mrs W proposed lunch at Benihana, the Jap restaurant in the hotel. And for that, I am grateful. It is so yummy and the dude doing our teppanyaki? He was like a good barman. Able to put in a show tossing food and eggs etc from the grill to his pocket and hat. He even got Mrs W to join in on the act

And of course I could not miss the 2 cutie waiters now, could I? Hehehe!

While all were going good, the Dare was doing his childish best messaging me about his transport and questioning this and that. I mean, the guy has a transport ready for him. It's up to him to decide right whether he wants to go airport first or not. Ugh! He is the type that really is bossy without even realizing how bossy he truly is

The meeting with Mai Nor went smoothly. We met a fair number of them, trashed through some points. Dare and Mrs joined but he kept silent throughout the bulk of it (as expected). Once done, it was back to the hotel for some down time. I really wanted to just chill out but you know what? Dare decided he needed to snack before dinner. We are talking like 2 hours only. So guess who got drafted to show them? Yup, yours truly

Anyway to spoil his diet, I took them to the shop outside our hotel. And to my delight he indulged in 1 main course and a started of grilled pork knuckle in Thai dressing. What diet?!?!?! He said that when on holiday, he indulged. And I have to wonder what holiday? Are we not supposed to be here for work? Hehehehehe!

7:00pm and we took the ferry to Asiathique. Had a bit of a walkabout and the team decided on Thai food but seafood. Good thing one of the main shops at the riverfront was this. It was jampacked on a weekday and we had to wait. Food was surprisingly clear type of cooking but tasty and cheap. For 7 of us with whole fish and scallops and what not about THB3000 only!

So all in, today was a good first day! And I came back to the hotel to a surprise. Box of chocolates waiting for me. Must be from the pastry guy - he called earlier to apologize for the bad food from the previous stay!

Bye Bye Sri Lanka

I didn't get to do any shopping since I landed and this morning, I had to set my alarm at 2:30am so that I can depart at 3:00am? Not a good trip I can guarantee you. It's odd. As I was checking out, the front desk said that there is no bill (?!?!?!). But they were nice enough to prepare a take away breakfast for me. I didn't bother with it and gave it to the cab driver

It was kind of bizarre driving from road to road until we reach the airport at that hour in the morning. Streets are empty but still lit up. It appears so serene, so inviting that you want to go out and just stroll along, know what I mean?

At the airport, it was a hive of activity. I decided this time I am determined to shop and shop I did - about USD70 worth, not too bad, right? Got some organic tea in a can, some toys, a nice photo frame with spices and rice husk and a few other organic soaps etc

Then it was time to go to Coffee Bean before flying. Dude - I had 3 hours at this airport!

Flight was usual, uneventful. Nothing to shout about. Airport at KLIA? I was kinda buzzed with lack of sleep that I just headed straight for the cab. Unfortunately as luck would have it, the moment I reached Gee Pee Tee, one thing after another cropped up even in relation to the Dare Man's trip and the rest of the Thai gang that I didn't step back to my room until late in the evening. So much for rest, eh? Sigh! I cannot wait for this mad period to be over and life resumes normally

Reunion ... Day 2 ... Sri Lanka ...

I woke up and felt ... just wonderful ... the pain? Almost gone from my back! That is some excellent bed they have and I must say ... what a great sleep!

We went out to check new locations for future Anantara and Avani - lovely. Then I come back and waited for the JoeF, my ex-colleague from Maldives LG days. He came and looked so much more fresh than ... maybe  7 years ago? What a lovely change

We had a nice 3 hours of chatting and visitng some of his work before saying goodbye ...

After that, I pretty much spent the rest of the time in my room ordering room service, surfing the net, finishing the second novel I am reading i.e. the books in the room and trying to stretch out the third novel. Hahahaha! So all in a good day for resting

Tomorrow 2:00am wake up ... ugh!

Sri Lanka ... after 7 years or so ...

Today is flying day again ... and I woke up watching Eye Sag in bed and wished I could go back to sleep ... hahaha ... there are days like this ... but at least for once there is no drama. I got up on time, taxi came on time and it was clean. Nice feeling

On the gay side ... isn't it weird that people are saying Eye Sag is generally hot but from day one until now ... I do not think he is good looking ... physically ... or face ... or voice ... lucky for me, right?
The only downer is my right arm. Painful like a bitch!

However, the airport is a salvation. So many young, skinny hotties in uniform. I wished I had a chance to take photo but I dare not any more these days. The face is nothing to shout at. Just the tall slim body with the bubble butt! So many of them. The best is the 3 handling the final gate to the plane. 2 was on duty and 1 came to replace them and all three have this lovely physique that I so favor
And the best part is after we are all inside, the new guard was busy adjusting his pants/ grooming. He was re-tucking in his shirt, shifting his belt and reaching behind to tug at the seat of his trousers ... readjusting his brief/ boxers obviously! He should have asked me to do it for him, eh? Hehehe

And then when I arrived? Same shit. The skinny hot young Sri Lankans are wielding guns in the airport. The older ones are the abusive ones - sigh!
Just like at the Immigration ... not many people ... an elderly lady asked me to approach her counter ... and she said I needed to get a visa ... I said I purchased online and she asked to see and I showed her ... next she claimed it wasn't activated! I was annoyed. She asked me to go see the Chief Immigration Officer in his office but he was not there. I had to go another office and the guy said to wait as the Chief went to breakfast! Can you beat that?

When he came he gave me all sorts of shit and said I applied the wrong number. Hello! Malaysian passport is recognized without the alphabet. He said he will help me out. Then he passed me over to the assistant who asked me for a fee! Just fucking unbelievable!
And when I went out, the pick up was in a Taj car with Taj water. Talk about standards. I had to confirm our destination as I was concerned since this is Sri Lanka

Finally at the resort, I had a welcoming period from the GM Steve who turned out to be ex-Constance. We caught up on news, had lunch, had tea and I went to my gigantic room to rest. It was lovely. I even enjoyed the in-room jacuzzi

Then Sri Lanka intruded yet again. I booked for a body scrub and to my utter horror ... the phone started buzzing and my therapist cut short and told me to rest then shower ... and he stepped into the shower area and started chatting away until I got bored. As I went in, he walked out still talking away on the phone. And finally he handed me the shower materials while continuing to chat on the phone!

When I was done, he put down the phone and offered to do the lotion but his phone started buzzing and he said we are done. Worst part, my 50min plus resting time became a total of 38 minutes and they charged me full price! Horrible experience! And he was hoping for tips as he followed me out!

Dinner was magnificent with Steve and his Mauritian wife. Turns out she had a kid already with someone else before he tied the knot recently with her. Snap! Hahahahahaha!

About the only local cutie in the hotel is the man at the bar. Sigh!

O ya memories of Maldives intruded when I tested room service ... chicken n chips ... came like the little coffee shops in Male ... slab of chicken and a fistful of chips ... chucked onto a plate with a dish of ketchup and that's it! RM40++? I think not

Patience is all you need ...

I am of course going to bitch about work ... is there any other type of bitching? Seriously? Heh!
Umm ... let's see ... it's about S&M. I knew there were challenges and I was anticipating and calling and finding candidates. As expected, once I started emailing Gill Man about shortcomings of his wonderful company ... he couldn't take it and he tore my head off. He asked about me playing games and what-not. I decided not to let it rattle me and played it cool
And guess what? It happened! Thanks to my Creator for guiding me through yet another thorny patch in this work relationship. When Bent resigned, he asked for Sill's help to pretend he is on vacation and crazy Sill helped. Then Sill rejected the recruitment of a DOSM. However, to his surprise, in 24 hours after he made this decision, Kitty Man resigned and said he never wanted to work in this place as it didn't suit his strength. So basically he did nothin for us in the 2 mths he was here except take our money and pretend to work. Now that he has to actually work, he decided to pack it up and go! This is what comes of no background checking and trusting the Bent
So now Sill said he will interview our DOSM candidate on Monday
So that was last night's drama
On a slightly more favorable front, this time it is on FB. It is odd. From out of nowhere, one of the IPDN boys are actually conversing with me and now we exchange full emails several times a day. He even invited me over to visit him and he will walk me around! Hmmm ... he looks quite ... cute? Hahahaha! I know. I am horny

And of course excited that I am going to Sri Lanka for Sunday on a paid vacation-cum-work. Yippeeeeee!

A Whale

I am fat. I was having dinner and saw the reflection of myself in the glass. I am fat as a whale from my side profile. My stomach is jutting out. Kinda depressed. Going to be disciplined. Get up to exercise for at least an hour?

Sigh!

On a separate note, I met up with the DOS, they called him Kit and at 36, he is so cute! I so want to reach down and put my hand on his leg and slowly stroked him around the crotch. After all, he is staying alone in the room tonight

But you know what? I am fat

ARGH!

Makan Time ... and Surprise Gift ...

I am confused ... I do not really understand the significance of my confirmation ... because while it is underwhelming ... and the overall matter of the hotel is progressing but not yet resolved ... I am surprised that for some weird reason, they are all in the mood to celebrate! I am actually worried sick right now should Av/ Ana not go through or go through and there are hiccups!

So what's the surprise?

Dare Man and the Viv came over ... and suddenly brought out a huge box of Selangor Pewter ... of course I was surprised and pleased ... and should be blushing. They encouraged me to open ... and we had a fun time trying to pry the box open ... it was a candle holder ... with a small chunk of pewter at the bottom ... something about Toscano design ... hmmm ... price is about RM350 on the website ... if it had been a photo frame or something ... easier to use ... so I am keeping this in the office ... as display!

In the evening, I went out with the Viv ... we are supposed to have dinner ... but the Wongz hijacked the thing to this Thai place they loved ... it's over the top in terms of taste ... nice for a change but not somewhere I would return ... too much of everything in terms of flavour and design ... and the guy (restaurant manager) kept on saying about his brother etc where he is half Thai and the bro is all Thai ... but you get the feeling they are more soul mates than brothers ...

Especially the part when he mentioned they went to a resort in Langkawi for demo cooking and it was no payment but more of a free vacation for 2 of them to be treated as VIP while the brother worked ... how gay is that?

And speaking of gay ... well ... on that new website? I had a nice time exchanging emails with Tommy (Penang) and someone named Tre...ex (KL) ...

and on FB ... to my utter surprise, this sweet looking chap replied and confirmed me ... and chatted for nearly an hour ... and he is a young policeman in Perak! Hehehehehehe!

A disappointment ... and a turnaround ... and a nice closure ...

As expected, finally the Dare showed up for work ... and pottering around ... before presenting the contract to me ... not wanting to experience disappointment, I decided not to open and let him blather on and on and on ... he wanted me to think about the future and all that ... I told him I will give them until Feb 2013 and see what happens then ... as I do not like to sit around and pretend to work or play politics ... we discussed a bit on SGC structure ... and again, I get the hint that he is not being sincere and playing games with me i.e he is not as connected as he pretended to be ... even though he is family

In fact, he kept on proclaiming that since he joined ... the one thing anyone can ensure is that meetings that are scheduled are held ... because he has put it in the right context (WTF) ... is he like VP of PA?

Whatever, right?

Then after he left, I opened ... the incentive is what I hoped for a minimum except for the odd cumulative total clause ... which I am uncertain like if I don't hit the cumulative, does it mean I get pay deducted? Ugh ... Increment is average at about 5% ... not even GPT High of 6% or 8% ... or Sill Man's acting allowance ... which means my salary is less than No 1 and 2 at the hotel ...

And then the car allowance is a joke ... my car is already cheap enough ... they give RM350 ... what the F do they hope I buy? I am buying a Proton where 50% is downpayment with remainder on loan and I am covering RM502 a month ... they cannot even give me that? While No 2 in Hotel's car is over RM1k i.e. 3 x mine?!?!?!??!?!

Anyway, in the evening, See Kay Red called to meet up with me ... he wanted to discuss about projects, fixing the property, future, etc ... he said the Board has confidence in me and is planning for me to literally takeover the entire place ... whatever that means ... then he hinted that they may want me to spearhead the entire development with Mr. Wong ... and that the Board is agreeable and do not waste time ... I said bluntly to wait until end of month ... just like what I told Wong ... and he said Wong is a good man to which I agree ... but I said if in SGC I am hesitant as too much politics and too much time wasted covering backs ... I even hinted that I was given wrong info by certain people (the entire time we didn't mention name for this person) ... and that caused me to be weak in my presentation to Hilton as I couldn't overcome this issue of leaseback!

That was why in May, I extended my list to include the BKK company ... I further explained that Hill is good for biz ... my first choice ... but if we want huge reputation for resort ... BKK co is good

And the nice closure? I went out with Glow Girl and Peeing and met Eye Sag for dinner celebrating Glow Girl's birthday today. And See Kay was there and he paid for our meal as well!

Artwork x 3 ...

Let's start with before dawn ... because that is the time that Case Man and Eye Sag came to my place ... I definitely was asleep ... when the doorbell rang ... so after that I sort of drifted in and out of sleep ... and now suffering all day long with headache ... ah well ... it's okay if it's just a day ... at least our entire hotel is over-full! Finally!

Next up ... because I could not sleep in ... I did my third piece of art ... this time it was to show early dawn or late at night ... how a person living in the city would not see the stars ... so I did such a piece ... it didn't come out quite as good as the past 2 weeks ... maybe it is because this time I used typical painting techniques of poster paint that it looks so amateurish ... ah well ...

But at least we venture forth to Sg Pelek for a late breakfast/ lunch ... so that was nice ... pathetic Char Koay Teow saved by really nice Yong Tau Foo ...

And to top it all off, DVD player is finally installed and running and I could watch a movie ... yippeeeeee!

A Beautiful Day ...

Finally, after 5 months of our business dropping like a rock in a bottomless well, we have a week full of functions, VIPs, and all sorts of assorted businesses ... right now ... as I am typing this, the resort is humming with life even in the lobby at 8:00pm!

I met Mr. Wong and he seemed pleased that things run smoothly!

I met Ramani and Chef who saw CK Ang and he seemed generally pleased that things are going well!

And as for me, I had a nice day in KLCC with my sis. We caught a movie and had lunch. I did shopping at Lovely Lace for the hotel ... and hunted down my CUTIE!

He was at first in center court and giving directions. So I sidled next to him. If only it was crowded, I could have squeezed in and pretended to brush him. Hahaha! He was using walkie-talkie 6 and his name tag (finally!) was Tajul. I didn't see him anymore until towards the end when I found out they put him on outside duty! Argh! What a waste. A man as sweet as him should be inside! Sigh! Still same nice butt, same nice uniform, same nice face! Sigh!

One More Step Closer ...

The highlight of today? Meeting with the big G ... after going through the usual in the morning, the Dare drove me down to Shah Alam ... we met with Master W ... had lunch but I can barely eat ... I am always not a big eater before meetings ... and I got annoyed when talking to them because they kept grilling me ... don't they know we have to weigh options? Always trying to see what is the next thing to do ... if we act too fast on one area, another will fall drastically

They are pushing me about the Sill ... and I said if I do that, there is no one else around because Glow woman while good is a corporate figure ... and I am busy travelling ... I just pretended the Dare didn't exist ... the Dare is so ridiculous ... when we have so many problems, his priority is himself ... going for team building and all those management seminars ... and instead of putting that to work ... he is now a speaker in that person's team ... almost like part-time employee! How selfish is that

Anyway the meeting felt a bit flat for me ... so after that I asked the Dare and Master Wong ... they said Gun Man is actually pleased but he is trying to show his calm ... that and the fact that he had a bad meeting before us ... so ours was positive as it showed a light at the end of the tunnel while others are seeding him with negativity ... apparently the Dare and team had told him on Wednesday when I sms them ... and he was pleased already!

So now the next stage of getting more stats from them and visiting their properties ...

And the Dare said Gun Man has signed off my appraisal and rewards and they will discuss with me next week ... he said I am lucky as his is still hanging ... huh! Well, if he only actually work instead of spending the bulk of his hours going on his private business ...

Anyway, he is family! Good for him ...
