Day 3 Makassar ...

Okay the weather is still as bad as ever but we decided what the heck ... know what I mean?

So after another breakfast at the restaurant, we took a cab to our first stop ... it's this old fort that was used in the old days of the Dutch and many other things ... quite cool ... the old walls ... we walked in ... tunnels ... artifacts ... holding cells ... and a chap selling supposedly old relics ... yeah, right for Rp50k? I bought it just the same ... (Fort Rotterdam)

After that we waltzed around the area as the weather was cooling and nice breeze coming in from the sea ... then we decided to book ticket to the holiday island for residents of this area ... as it is supposedly beautiful and famous ... the jetty was old-world run-down charm ... I meant it sincerely ... but what was a rip was we had a loooooooooooong wait for the ferry ...

And when we arrived with a few other guests to our shock and horror ... the island resort is closed for the season ... everything was closed up so the island is tiny and we were all just wandering around ... what a rip off right? And we couldn't get off for a couple of hours until next boat and had no choice but to quaff down instant noodles and beverages ... ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After that, we decided we needed a half-decent dinner and went to the mall ... no point in looking for cinema ... we tried and was unsuccessful ...
