Flu days ...

I woke up this morning and to my surprise it was almost 7:00am ... shut eye for a bit ... and hey after 8:00am ...

Laze around, shower, pack and get ready for KLCC ... when I was in the car, I actually felt drowzy! That's some medication ... or my body really needed the rest ...

So I ended up hiding in the cinema for a good 2 hour rest ... before going for walkabout buying comics ... then feeling really tired I went to Secret Recipe to have a horrible lunch ... and horror of horrors ... I spilt my drink!!! But the worst thing was the service staff saw and DID NOTHING. I had a towel with me and started wiping myself. The girl taking order to my right just went back to counter. The girl clearing the table in front of me just continued mopping that table. I had to signal to them twice - first to clear the floor and second the table! Talk about shit service and attitude!

They should work for GPT eh? Hahahahahaha!

Will definitely be sleeping well again tonight since I can still feel the fever lurking about

First time ever

There I was trying to get through this half day at work ... so I can hope into Mr. Short's gigantic car home ... and when I reached Uptown, I decided to pop into the doctor's ... good thing too ... because the doctor told me to my face ... I look exhausted ... and said I needed at least 2 days of complete rest ... I said I am not working Sunday ... so he said fine otherwise he would give me MC ... like I can afford that with month-end closing and budget ... sigh!

I needed a different kind of job, eh?

And true enough, when I reached home, after a cookie and medication, I kept on dozing throughout the afternoon into evening ... a quick dinner (but yummy thanks to my sis' excellent choice) ... a little tv and by 11:00pm I was zonked out in bed again!

I am going to sleep ... wow ... so much sleepy ... the most I have had this whole year I think!

And the flu continues

Got up early enough ... and saw the Case in the other toilet ... then saw him again taking a final nap ... even when he showers with his tiny towel ... he comes out with that long pair of shorts ... however, the one thing I noted is that even though he is bone thin ... the stomach is still not that flat as that of a young man ... definitely sign of age eh? Sigh!

Work is not much to rave about ... Shimmy resigned ... which was really too bad cos he seemed like generally a nice chap ... and tried his best for the company ... but that should tell you how he genuinely felt about the company ... if someone is enthused, would they be searching out for opportunities?

In the evening, I went out with Sam and met with the bolu-man who is interested in renting our car park for food court ... he was quite sharp and seemed genuinely enthusiastic ... we ate at no 2 ... and the fried fish was awesome ... seriously awesome!

All others was average ... and the leech started again ... asking me to wait ... from 8:40pm until 1:00am ... he said he took a bus to his job ... which was a unique answer but I was so stressed until I had chest problems!

Flu

Yup - I was really tired on Tue but thought to go to support the team - and when we got back, by the time I slept and all that - it was well after 2:00am - considering the fact that I got less than 4 hours a night for the past week - no surprises that by late afternoon I felt hot ... feverish ... pale ... weak ... and had the runny nose!

Good thing The Case overnight ... and he kindly took me to the pharmacy for some medication ... and then I had the awesome Curry Laksa at Olio that got my nose dripping even worse ... hehehe!

Aside from that, it was a quiet day ... Deepavali ... not many people around ... and I avoided talking much to the leech!

Bowling!!!!!!!..... again?!?!?!

Well, that's what it is all about ... HRD organized another round of bowling in less than 3 months because? Staff liked it ... but then it should be an activity and not a tournament, right? Otherwise it makes no sense ... still it was good fun ...

We all met and drove there in a heavy rain and lightning storm ... and as usual everyone started late ... who were we entertained with? A number of the lads didn't show up ... prolly cos of the rain ... especially the bikers ... who did turn up?

A married couple brought their 2 kiddies around ... very cute and adorable with big heads like Upin and Ipin ... hahaha ... on our lanes, as buddies we have HRD ... and a trainee who goes by the odd name of Caprince ... perfect physique for me ... scrawny and minimal hair ... wish I had that ... hehehe ... then the odd ex-concierge was there but sitting and watching like last time ... and of course the sleeping with each other behind their spouses backs gang were all there ...

Anything else to share on this day? After bowling, we decided to have a quick meal ... and at the stroke of midnight, we were treated to a wonderful senses shattering display of fireworks and firecrackers ... announcing Deepavali! It was most unusual! There was Tomi, Tongue, Alli, Hannah, Angry Bird and One Chee

Anything else? Yup! A busy day ... out of nowhere ... as I was in the canteen Dare called me to go for lunch with him and the missus ... and he chatted about his trip and their frustrations ... with Pus Man, Fat Alps, F&B in general etc ... and that he had spoken to the G!!! Biggie d!

But the meal was generally nice ... we were supposed to do this seafood BKT ... but instead it was finished so we headed out to seafood by the jetty .... loved the bee hoon n tofu!

On a side note: the leech again asked for money by saying he has no money for food - 6 days in a row now!

The Dark

That's what it was like tonight ... I arrived hotel late thanks to the MotoGP at Sepang circuit ... it was past 7:00pm ... I went upstairs and grabbed my stuff ... then with a torch in hand, I headed out ... shining most of the way back ... it wasn't as bad as I expected ... however, it wasn't as good either ... because I had a fair bit to carry

I really need to get my own transport even if secondhand car!

Then again, how do I lose weight? Sigh!

I weighed myself yesterday after arriving home, going to movies, had my nuggets, had my sugary drink and shower and had the towel - and guess what? I was 88.5kg!!!!!!!!!! I was doing 89 near 90 for past few weeks and getting depressed. So this is a good start. I need to keep up the exercise for a few more weeks ... then diet ... then cut down sugar ... then cut down carbo!

Real Steel

[At the height of the X-Men cartoon series, we have 2 series from the comics world reflecting that movie. One is similar style but original and one is episodic like the series]

Yes I am shamefully placing the title of the movie in my blog ... why? Because it is that good. I have reviewed it on the side bar of my blog but what the heck ... it is definitely one of the best movie I have ever seen ... ever! It made you feel all schmaltzy ... teary eyed for the kid ... and wanting to stand up and cheer for the robot when it kicked ass ... or even more pitiful when it got beaten on ... damn! Great stuff!

Aside from this, the only other interesting developments are:

The leech asking for more money as he is short but he still had enough to go out with mates on a Saturday night and kept me waiting for nearly 4 hours to chat with him. When I didn't, he would complain I was busy weekdays but do not make time for him on weekends

Sheer, new HRD continued her escapades by telling AFOM the Tool that she would be away on Mon n Tue but back on Wed. Isn't it nice? She is on flexible working day ... working whenever she pleases ... I know max she has is 1 off day ... so how can she take advance PH? First time ever ... and she is in HRD ... how long will she last? Will the GM tolerate this? High chances yes, right? Hahahahaahahah!

Traitors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did my 3 month appraisal today ... boss was generally decent in ratings ... but when I finally got the official document ... there is no additional $$$ ... grrrrrrrrrrrrr ...

But what really torqued me off is someone went to gossip that I am too aggressive and meddling in their areas ... and it is F&B ... if it isn't chef ... then there is only Ahmad ... and why am I not surprised? I have seen the odd look in Ahmad's eyes already a few times already ... and have always felt uncomfortable around him ... so now I know ... then again, he stabbed Fat Albert to Pus Man ... so no surprises if he does it to me as well ...

But for Pus Man to tell me? Hmmm ... beware, eh?

The game is on!

I celebrated my confirmation with Tongue-stuck-out Pang and Uncle Frank ... they didn't know the occassion ... we went to Mum Mum chinese restaurant where no one is interested in doing business ... they didn't care if we sat or ordered or drank ... very average food ... not going back again!
