That is all my other half of the moment seemed to be good for ... I know what he wants ... he will say and do anything to get his next hit ... he is a shopaholic ... he has potential ... I know he does ... if only he will shape up and realized this ... then he can have so much more ...

What did we fight about? He started with Armani bags ... and then used the missing ring issue against me ... then Ivan ... then break up ... then he is feeling sick ...

Only for me to find out that he ... went ... drinking beer ... tonight with other friends ... so much for body feeling ill! What a load of crap! Almost everyday now I wonder when I cannot stand him anymore so that I will dump him ... the only reason we are still together is because I am a coward. I don't like to dump someone ... I don't like to feel guilty ... though if this continues ... he is driving me nuts ... all day every day ... and I know he will not stop until he gets the bag or we are through once and for all!

Company bowling tournament is here again ... I have seen the signboard ... and the ads ... and my staff said they will send a team ... so naturally I agreed to support ...

On this morning's meeting, Training Manager announced that if there are insufficient teams, the event will not be on ... when I asked how many teams, he was hesitant to answer ... there is a reason for everything ... all became clear when we saw not a single team from HRD ... and the HR and Training Manager both didn't bother to participate! Only the Filipino clown came strutting everywhere and then saying bye-bye before it was over ...

I told everyone we came to win ... and the craziest thing is the first round we weren't that good finishing maybe middle but the second round saw us romping strongly ... unfortunately the team couldn't sustain the focus and suffered in the 3rd round ... I was told that if we had maintained we could have finished 2nd place ... instead we finished 4th ... however, there was a small consoldation ... the Cr Mgr, Alias managed to perform consistently ... and won best player of the night!

After that, the car I was in with Purchasing and F&B stopped by for 11:00pm dinner! Crazy ... so bloated!

Tuesday and I realized that I must learn to SHUT UP - once and for all - I am still gabbing away too much - so with immediate effect that MUST BE effected


Nothing else significant happened - had my first meeting with GM on what is to be the routine stuff

[This got axed and am not surprised. Bought the first 3 and it was TERRIBLE!]

Other than that, tonight I went out house hunting - saw 2 that should suit me if RM500 to 600 a month - other than that ... there is a nice house where ex-FC stayed - but at RM1k - it will be great if I can find someone to share ... otherwise not worth it


We had Bah Kut Teh in the city - very yummy! Now feel so bloated!

Stress x 4?

The odditty at this place continues ... we started the day good enough with a few laughs ... and everything went downhill from that point onwards ... IT review continued ... and more dept heads were unprepared

Not much different after lunch ... Finance team exhibited same familiarity ... why do people not worry and panic?

Speaking of people, I touched base with IT's Tommy and he said he is fine to be part of the team ... thank goodness ... and that his problem was with the ex-FC

[Hmmm this is apparently a tv show?]

Then chatting with Alias ... he said he was willing to work with me and be a genuine superstar ... sure hope so ...

Anyway keeping my fingers crossed that I can swing them around by setting things in place and then working on the operational team next so that we are all superstars!

From good to bad

I woke up with less than 5 hours sleep but hey the opportunity to go to Mid-Valley cheered me up. So I called up Excursion counter to confirm time and went early to wait for the bus. I boarded and had to confirm my schedule twice - once with a Chinese gentleman and then an Indian young man ...

Mid-Valley was the usual - yummy Thai food and Donnie Yen's Wu Xia ... nothing else ... so I went early to the bus stop at 4:00pm ... waited until 5:10pm ... no bus ... so? I called the hotel and as expected, they told me they didn't have me in their logbook ... after I explained everything ... their best answer was that the bus had left KL ... so I had to fend for myself ... imagine if I was a real paying guest ...

So there I was ... going to ATM to get money ... then trying to find a cab that will come all this way ...

After that it was a case of being in a pissy mood ... I ordered room service ... Char Koay Teow was extremely yummy ... thank goodness ... however, they served with knife and fork! Service in this hotel is so poor!

Whizzing By

[This was a surprise find when I picked up the TPB after suddenly recalling that the series was too much for DC and they shifted it to Dynamit ... and it was ... some of it you will be too embarassed to be caught reading in public ... sex and mutilation]

That's what life is like these few days ... but I guess that is to be expected ... when one is in a new company ... going through orientation while juggling projects that have ballooned out of control!

We did the operational department review ... true to expectations ... end users request to vendors were not met ... end users failed to come for training ... end users didn't submit formats of what they require ... all usual stuff ... but somehow it went falling through the cracks!

And before I know it, it was late at night already ...

NEW JOB NEW JOB NEW JOB

Hi all - in a few more minutes ... I will be leaving the comfort of this room ... and going out forth to meet my new colleagues ... will I fit in? Will I be accepted? Will my performance be up to their expectations?

Yes, at the ripe old age of 38 going on 39 ... I still have tons of insecurities ... and you would think someone with my path of changing jobs would be immune to this by now ... hahahaha ... and you would be wrong

HK Day 2 Part 2

Stanley Market was interesting ... some really nice souvenirs in the form of artwork ... and some cheap goods like shirts, bags, etc ... cheap even by Malaysian standards ...

Did I buy anything? Hahahaha nothing

Then we walk across the waterfront and came to the Maritime Museum. What did we see? The gift shop! Hehehe! Here I picked up 2 FDC. Then we went up to check out the restaurants. We stopped at the uppermost floor ... awesome salads and calamari/ onion rings ... cute Caucasian and Asian young men waiters ... ahahhahaha!

Then it was home home home to TV and that rib dinner

HK Day 2 Part 1

Sunday Sunday ... woke up and did 2 sets of stretching exercises ... good, right? Weather seems decent enough ... not blazing hot ...

And so off we go ... taking the bus down to Repulse Bay ... the apartment was awesome and great views ... we walked around the little courtyard ... nice bakery ... ice creamery ... and had a nice sausage roll with coffee @ Pacific ... then it was a spot of shopping at the mart there ...

Next is Stanley Plaza ... and more grocery shopping for the Thizz awesome rib dinner ...

Just as we hit home, Dust man called and needed his cap ... so off we zapped in a cap ... dropping off his cap ... then we head to Stanley Market (tourist tourist attraction) ... and we did our rounds ...

HK Day 1 Part 2

Ugh ... the plane was so full ... and Air Asia gave their brilliant service ... I pre-ordered Satay ... they asked if I am okay to change to rice ... when I said no ... that's not what I ordered ... they said they will need to warm up the satay ... lazy buggers!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seat mates ... from PRC ... chap had such strong garlic breath that all the mints he kept popping in had no effect ... worst case ... whenever he moved ... his BO from armpit was soooo overpowering .... ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Airport @ HK was kinda dull n dreary looking ... customs was one hell of a long wait ... and when you exit ... there was no bright lights etc to tell you that you have arrived ...

Was a bit surprised that my host ... who thank goodness as at the airport ... didn't believe in food adventures and predominantly doing Western home food ... waaaaaaaaaaaugh ... we did Burger King ... thank goodness it was so yummy and juicy

The house was typical HK ... Stanley area ... small teeny tiny ... and costs like HKD18k a month - so psychotic!!!!!!

HK Day 1 Part 1

So I am still having last night's buzz of receiving the offer from G Palm. And I am now of half-a-mind to go anywhere. For me, getting that contract was a stroke of good luck but since the ticket was purchased ...

Edz came by and we went to New World for brekkie ... I had my usual coffee (minus milk this time) with omega 3 half boiled eggs ... we chatted about cars and to my surprise when we drove past a few workshops/ showrooms ... the bank loan offered was so low below 2% ... cheaper than savings and FD

Aside from that, we headed to the airport later on with my folks ... and decided to chow down at Kenny Rogers only to find that thanks to the perpetual renovation ... it's gone! Ugh! And the whole place was so full that we had to hunt for a table at McD ...

And to make matters worse, there was no cutie around ... sigh!
